Held every three years, this year\u2019s National Assembly brought together the community to strengthen connections and collaboration across regions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Launching Seasoldier Xperience: A Community-Based Approach\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gathering also marked the launch of the new eco-tourism program, <strong>\u201cSeasoldier Xperience,\u201d<\/strong> while providing a national platform for <strong>Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)<\/strong> and a space for community collaboration. Seasoldier also created a space for regional representative to share the opportunities and challenges they encounter in their respective areas. Throughout the MUNAS, Ramon Y. Tungka and Medina Kamil also joined the sessions and engaged in discussions with participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These discussions were part of the effort to strengthen Seasoldier Xperience as a community-based program, taking into account the potential, needs, and local conditions of each area. As Nadine Chandrawinata, Founder and Executive Director of Seasoldier, highlighted, <strong>\u201c<\/strong><\/span><strong><i>Collaboration and a focus on local communities are important. We need local communities because they know best. Nadine Chandrawinata, Founder and Executive Director of Seasoldier; Rinco Berlian, Sports Enthusiast;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Medina Kamil, Adventure Storyteller<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The discussion invited participants to see that a sustainable lifestyle is not only about major choices, but also about the simple decisions we make every day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u201cIf earlier we talked about how care can be translated into habits, one of the habits closest to our everyday lives is how we choose and use clothing,\u201d<\/strong> <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said Nadine Chandrawinata, Founder and Executive Director of Seasoldier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From personal choices around fashion, the discussion moved toward how we interact with the places we visit. <strong>\u201c<\/strong><\/span><strong><i>If fashion is about what we wear, now we move on to how we interact with the place we visit,\u201d <\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said Hida, Owner of Makaila Haifa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sustainability is not only reflected in the products we choose and consume, but also in the type of content we consume. In today\u2019s social media landscape, understanding which trends to follow can be an important part of maintaining healthy and sustainable habits, as content and storytelling can have a strong influence on audiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The discussions also touched on the influence of trends on our health and lifestyle choices<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <strong>\u201cThe fitness world has many trends that come and go. How do we distinguish between trends and healthy habits that can truly be sustained in the long term?\u201d<\/strong> <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said Rinco Berlian, a sports enthusiast.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continuing the discussion on the strong influence of content and storytelling, what we consume through media not only shapes our lives as individuals, but can also influence the natural environment and the communities around us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201c<i>If sustainability is present in the way we enjoy nature, it should also be present in the way we take care of ourselves. Because a sustainable lifestyle also means maintaining our health in the long term,\u201d<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said <\/span><b>Medina Kamil, Adventure Storyteller<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>From Discussion to Action: Mangrove Planting in Mangunharjo\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To close Munas III, Seasoldier held a <\/span><b>mangrove planting activity at Mangunharjo Beach, Semarang<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The activity was closely connected to the reason Semarang was chosen as the location for Munas III. The growing complexity of the climate, marine, and waste crises in Semarang is increasingly threatening the lives and livelihoods of coastal communities. One of the challenges is <\/span><b>land subsidence, which affects Semarang at a rate of 10 cm per year<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They also had the opportunity to learn about <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">green jobs, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sustainable lifestyles, and raising awareness of refugee issues through workshops, talk shows, and the available expo booths. These spaces for discussion and learning are expected to strengthen awareness of the importance of collaboration among different stakeholders in protecting the environment. Caring for the environment is a shared responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seasoldier hopes that the commitment to collaboration fostered through the National Assembly will continue to encourage sustainable initiatives across Seasoldier\u2019s regional chapters.
